Battery/power: 1 × CR123, 3 V lithium

Before you start: check the full model name. Agreement test/service with the alarm provider before opening. Keep fastening and placement. On real smoke or fire: manage the danger first.

For the screw variant of DC-23, any wires on the extra entrance should not be loosed.

1. Take down or open

  1. Confirm that you have the DC-23 housing with a screw: loosen the bottom screw and remove the front.
  2. If the housing has DC-23-R3 clips at the top and bottom, do not use this screw procedure. Use that model's illustration or get help opening it.

2. Bytt batteri / lad

  1. Remove the battery and press the tamper switch twice.
  2. Insert a new CR123 following the polarity markings.

3. Put together and in place

  1. Refit the front to the same base and secure the screw. Check that the tamper switch is pressed in.

4. Test and confirm normal operation

  1. Press Test once and open and close the door. Test mode lasts three minutes. Check that both open and closed are registered.

Attach and Mount

  1. Mount the sensor on the frame and the magnet on the moving door or window. The magnet must face the ribbed mark with a closed gap no greater than 15 mm.

Help when the product does not work

Wireless sensor: Read battery and connection state in the system. For low battery, use the model battery guide and check the battery type and whether it is replaceable. Note new metal objects or other changes near the sensor.

Choose the symptom and check the model scope before following the steps. This is troubleshooting, not a list of confirmed product defects.

General advice — model-specific fault procedure missing.

Door/window sensor: shows open when closed

Applies to: General advice for the sensor type — not a verified procedure for this model. Use the model manual for opening, battery type, testing and settings.

  1. Check that the message concerns the correct door or window. Close it fully and read the current state again.
  2. If the sensor uses a magnet, look for loose, displaced or damaged parts. Correct side and distance depend on the model.
  3. Arrange an open/close test with the monitoring service. Compare the actual position with current system state, not just old events.

Check the result: The correct zone changes between open and closed.

Stop and get help: If the fault persists, let the installer check alignment and any external contact. Do not add a loose magnet or bridge wires.
