Vesta-031 – Open the original manual at Vesta

Battery/power: 1 × CR2, 3 V lithium

Before you start: check the full model name. Agreement test/service with the alarm provider before opening. Keep fastening and placement. On real smoke or fire: manage the danger first.

1. Take down or open

  1. Leave the recessed housing in place. Turn the top cover counterclockwise with a flat screwdriver in the direction of the arrow.
  2. Carefully pull out the internal assembly.

2. Bytt batteri / lad

  1. Remove the battery. Press Learn/Test a couple of times. Insert a new CR2 following the holder markings.

3. Put together and in place

  1. Align the reed switch on the circuit board with the housing marking. Insert the assembly.
  2. Turn the lid clockwise until the locking marks align.

4. Test and confirm normal operation

  1. Press Test with a small suitable tool; open and close the door and check both states on the panel.

Attach and Mount

  1. When refitting, the sensor and magnet must still face each other, no more than 12.7 mm apart with the door closed. Relocation requires new drilling and assessment; battery replacement does not require this.

Help when the product does not work

Wireless sensor: Read battery and connection state in the system. For low battery, use the model battery guide and check the battery type and whether it is replaceable. Note new metal objects or other changes near the sensor.

Choose the symptom and check the model scope before following the steps. This is troubleshooting, not a list of confirmed product defects.

Door/window sensor: shows open when closed

  1. Check that the message concerns the correct door or window. Close it fully and read the current state again.
  2. If the sensor uses a magnet, look for loose, displaced or damaged parts. Correct side and distance depend on the model.
  3. Arrange an open/close test with the monitoring service. Compare the actual position with current system state, not just old events.

Check the result: The correct zone changes between open and closed.

Stop and get help: If the fault persists, let the installer check alignment and any external contact. Do not add a loose magnet or bridge wires.
