Vesta-176 – Open the original manual at Vesta

Battery/power: IR-35-2W: 2 × AA 1,5 V alkaline. IR-35SL-2W: 1 × CR123 3 V lithium.

Before you start: check the full model name. Agreement test/service with the alarm provider before opening. Keep fastening and placement. On real smoke or fire: manage the danger first.

Don’t just choose the battery from the name IR-35.

1. Take down or open

  1. Read the full model designation. Loosen the bottom screw and remove the cover. Leave the base and aiming direction unchanged.

2. Bytt batteri / lad

  1. Remove the battery or batteries and press the tamper switch twice.
  2. Insert the battery type for your variant following the markings; replace the entire set together.

3. Put together and in place

  1. Refit the cover to the base and secure the screw. Wait for the approximately 30-second warm-up to finish.

4. Test and confirm normal operation

  1. Press Test for three-minute test mode. Walk across the protected area and confirm detection.

Attach and Mount

  1. For bracket mounting, engage the sensor on the bracket hooks. Keep the original height and angle; the manufacturer recommends 2.3–2.5 m. Changing the angle requires a new walk test.

Help when the product does not work

Wireless sensor: Read battery and connection state in the system. For low battery, use the model battery guide and check the battery type and whether it is replaceable. Note new metal objects or other changes near the sensor.

Choose the symptom and check the model scope before following the steps. This is troubleshooting, not a list of confirmed product defects.

Motion detector: unexpected alarm or no response

  1. Check which detector and event are named in the alarm. Record the time and whether the system was armed.
  2. Look for furniture, curtains or objects blocking its view. Note changes involving heaters, sunlight, draughts or pets in the area.
  3. Do not rely on the LED alone as a functional test. Arrange a walk test with the monitoring service using the model test procedure; some detectors have a sleep period.

Check the result: An agreed test is registered from the correct detector.

Stop and get help: For repeated alarms or missed detection, contact the installer. Do not change sensitivity or position without checking coverage.
