Vesta-468 – open the original manual at Vesta

Battery/power: CR123, 3 V lithium; number must be confirmed for installed SD-32 variant

Before you start: check the full model name. Agreement test/service with the alarm provider before opening. Keep fastening and placement. On real smoke or fire: manage the danger first.

The battery recipe should not be used until the variant and number have been completed. The BUS version VESTA-384 follows another manual.

1. Take down or open

  1. Read the full model designation and have the battery count confirmed. The catalogue and family manual disagree.
  2. Support the detector. It mounts clockwise; normal release in the opposite direction is inferred from this. Do not force a locked detector. Loosen the battery-cover screw.

2. Bytt batteri / lad

  1. Remove the old cells. Press Test twice. Insert the confirmed number of CR123 batteries following the holder markings.

3. Put together and in place

  1. Secure the lid. Align the four hooks with the bracket slots and turn clockwise.
  2. Wait through warm-up and calibration; contact support if faults or beeping persist.

4. Test and confirm normal operation

  1. Arrange a test and press Test. Check local sound, battery status and the agreed interconnection or alarm receipt separately.

Attach and Mount

  1. Keep the bracket, location and orientation. Clean carefully according to the model manual. Do not hold the button for ten seconds during ordinary battery replacement; this starts calibration.

Help when the product does not work

Smoke/fire detector: chirps, fault warning or unwanted alarm

Applies to: General advice for the sensor type — not a verified procedure for this model. Use the model manual for opening, battery type, testing and settings.

  1. For smoke, a burning smell or possible CO, address danger first. Do not treat an active alarm as a battery warning.
  2. Record lights, sound pattern and the exact message. Use the model manual to distinguish alarm, battery, end-of-life and technical faults.
  3. Look for dust, insects, steam or recent work nearby. Clean only as allowed by the model manual; do not open the smoke chamber or use spray as a test.
  4. Arrange and perform the model test after maintenance. Sealed-battery and wired variants require different action from replaceable-battery detectors.

Check the result: The detector passes the manufacturer test and the current fault clears.

Stop and get help: If the test fails or the detector is removed from use, contact support and arrange replacement coverage promptly. Do not cover the detector.
