Use and Maintenance
Arrange maintenance and any test with the monitoring station before opening equipment. Note the model and location. Opening a device may trigger tamper even when the intrusion alarm is disarmed.
Batteribytte: 1 × CR123A, 3 V
- Remove the device from SmartBracket and switch it off.
- Release the locking clip and open the cover as shown in the original illustration.
- Fit a new CR123A battery. Follow the positive and negative markings.
- Close the cover, switch on and return the device to its mount.
- Check battery and cover status in the app. Status updates at the next contact with the panel.
Use new, undamaged batteries. Do not mix new and old. Keep button cells unavailable for children. Battery status may take some time to update.

Check after maintenance
Check that the cover and fastener are correct. Open the device in the app and check that errors are gone. Perform the model detection test before the plant is returned to normal operation.
For installer: location and installation
- Check the model and connection type.
- Plan the sensor on the fixed frame and the magnet on the moving door or window.
- Use the gap and magnet side specified in this exact manual; do not transfer dimensions between Jeweller and Fibra.
- Secure the parts according to the original illustration.
- Check open/closed status and signal before handover.

Help when the product does not work
Choose the symptom and check the model scope before following the steps. This is troubleshooting, not a list of confirmed product defects.
Door is closed but the app shows open
Applies to: DoorProtect Jeweller; not Plus or Fibra
- Open the correct DoorProtect state in the Ajax app. Check whether the alert concerns the magnet contact, external contact or tamper.
- Close the door fully. Check that the magnet is on the marked right side. For this model, the small magnet must be within 1 cm and the large one within 2 cm.
- Arrange a test with the monitoring service before opening and closing the door. Check that the state changes both ways.
Check the result: The app follows the actual open/closed door position.
Stop and get help: If the mount has moved or the external contact is faulty, contact the installer. Do not bridge wires or use a loose magnet to hide the fault.
App reports tamper / enclosure open
Applies to: Ajax device with tamper monitoring; only if the app shows Enclosure / Tamper
- Open Devices in the Ajax app, select the named device and read its enclosure/tamper state. Confirm the room and device.
- Look for a loose cover or mounting bracket, or recent removal. Do not open the device just to check the alert.
- If recently refitted, use the model mounting guide to seat it correctly. Arrange any opening with the monitoring service first.
- Check the app state after refitting. An old event in the log is not the same as an active fault.
Check the result: The current enclosure state is normal/closed.
Stop and get help: For a damaged bracket or persistent alert, contact the installer. Do not disable tamper monitoring to hide the fault.
