PM10: what to do when something fails
For PowerMaster-10 G2, also called PM10 and PM-10. Check the model before following the manual.
1Read the full panel message and note the zone. Distinguish fire, tamper, low battery and communication loss. For an actual fire in Norway, evacuate and call 110.
2NOT READY: identify the zone preventing arming. Close the relevant door or window. If the fault remains, use the model manual and contact the installer.
3Tamper after battery replacement: check that the correct detector is fully seated and the cover closed. Do not assume this is a smoke alarm, but always investigate the cause.
4Low battery: establish whether the message refers to the panel or a named sensor. Sensor batteries and the panel backup battery require different procedures.
5A new sensor will not enroll: record the complete sensor model, radio frequency and panel software. Ask the installer to verify support before replacing equipment.
6ConnectAlarm reports an insecure server: record the message, time and app version and contact support. Do not bypass certificate checks or use old IP addresses from historical cases.
7After the action: check that the fault cleared and perform an agreed functional test. Where monitoring is used, also confirm receipt.
What previous correspondence showed
Teams showed that smoke-detector tamper can be confused with a fire alarm. Another exchange questioned support for new sensors but confirmed no solution. A 2022 email described a ConnectAlarm certificate issue; the reviewed message did not confirm resolution. These are historical lessons, not a current service incident notice.
