Before you start: Have assigned installer access, the correct panel model and the installation plan. Agree changes and test events with the responsible person.
Check a standard template against the agreement. Do not copy reporting destinations, areas or timing settings blindly from another system.
iPhone: design can vary with iOS and SmartHomeSec version. The steps below describe documented features.
Steps
- Start Wizard when offered by the panel. Use the current installer code.
- Batch Config: select only an approved template for this panel type, or skip. Review the contents before loading a template.
- Continue through the customer account, User PIN, Add Device, Security Setting, Panel Settings, Network Settings and Report Settings.
- Save each step and check the result before continuing.
You should see this: The configuration has been reviewed with deliberate choices for this system.
If it does not work
- If a menu or feature is missing, check your role, area and the task's source status.
- If the expected result does not appear, note the error, device and time. Contact the installer or responsible administrator.
